Hollie Wright - Senior Event Manager

When did you first join Cascade Productions?

August 2010.

What is your job and what does it entail?

My role within Cascade varies on a day to day basis and can get involved with all aspect of events but I tend to be more focused around logistics, venue management and looking after the delegate experience. I have recently started getting involved with the operation and admin side of running the office as well.

What’s one thing about your job that people don’t know?

It’s not as glamorous as people may think… lots of long days, little sleep and stress.

What’s the best part of working at Cascade?

The people I work with.

What’s the best part of your job?

When you finally finish an event and you get to see happy delegates.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

The time constraints… there are not enough hours in the day.

Name one of the most memorable events you’ve been on and why? (if this applies)

GAME 2010 at Excel – my first event… it was terrifying and exciting all at the same time, I will never forget it.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Own up to your mistakes and fix them…

Describe the event industry in three words.

 Fast-paced, exciting and diverse.

Describe yourself in three words.

Inquisitive, organised and mischievous.

If you could swap jobs with anyone on the team for one day who would it be and why?

Jennifer, I would love to run the office for a day and feel the power and responsibility she has.

If you could work on any event in the world what would it be and why?

The Oscars or the Grammys, because it would be immensely exciting, absolutely terrifying and very challenging… bring it on!
